Paxman 83 - Compensating Triple Horn F/Bb/F alto

DESCRIPTION

This instrument has been used professionally for seven years and is in excellent condition. At its core is the tried and tested Paxman Bb/F alto combination (exactly as the Model 45) which has a huge tonal and dynamic range, stable intonation and clearly defined harmonics which allows considerable freedom, security and flexibility to the player. Paxmans have incorporated a compensating F-basso side (as in the Model 33) providing the added depth and pedals of a responsive and lively F horn. This horn has proved itself in symphonic playing (including regularly on 1st in the RPO), chamber music and solo performances, recordings and more. A very, very fine horn that is extremely rare in the second-hand market, the list price for a new-built one is in excess of £15,000. Here is a recording of the horn in action.
