Boosey & Hawkes Imperial Full Double F/Bb Horn - Vintage Alexander 103 copy
DESCRIPTIONA Boosey & Hawkes copy of a vintage Alexander 103, built likely in the 1950/60s. Theses Imperial horns where used by players of the BBC Symphony Orchestra in 1940-60s. In good used condition, the silver plate is also fine for its age. This horn blows well and plays very nicely. Compared to a more modern Alex the only down sides are it’s a fraction heavier plus the travel on the 4th valve is a little more but this is all reflected in the very reasonable price for a horn that plays very nicely.
DETAILSSilver Plated Yellow Brass
Medium Fixed Bell
String Levers Valves 1-3
Mechanical linkage 4th Valve
